Biography

Although he is quite the charismatic showman, Zack's compositional skills are even more respectable. With a catalog of over 300 original songs written, performed (every instrument and vocal), recorded, and engineered in his basement, Zack has been self-releasing his homemade creations. "2:30 (no matter what!)," "Plus Some That Don't Fit The Mold," and "Tranquil Madness," have collectively sold thousands of copies while on tour and at local shows. The opening page of this website features seven unreleased songs; six of which Zack recorded each part. The seventh track, Oil Change, was recorded live on the radio for Clear Channel's WDVE Morning Show with his Pittsburgh side-project, "No Slack," featuring Ronnie Grkman on the fretless bass and Dave Katonik on the drums. Now at age 21, Zack has a national and international tour under his belt, the Albert King award to his name, and a co-written song placed in a feature length film coming out this summer. Zack plans to continue building upon his ever-growing catalog of creativity and continue performing as many unforgettable shows as possible.

"The Buzz" - What fans are saying about Zack all over the internet
VAI.com message boards:
-"I have to say before anything else that Zack, as the opening act, was just F*****G Unbelievable!!!"
-"Zack's first action already made the whole audience laugh, it was so silly that it was funny again. (I don't want to tell more and spoil it for those who are still going to see the concert) But Zack played really very well and rocked the stage with his great haircut."
-"Zack's performance was quite funny and really good."

-"Two words on Zack Weisinger: massive balls. This kid comes out to a cold crowd with just his guitar and Sideshow Bob scarecut and and rips it up for half an hour. Half showman, half cool guitar player. Really good, and nice that it was a completely different style to what we were going to get from Steve."
-"Zack Weisinger caught me off guard - when he first walked on stage I thought he was either drunk or high! But his guitar playing was great, and his his showmanship was even better. I loved the James Bond tribute."
-"
When Zack graced the stage, I didn't know what to expect but I expected for him to be crazy by reading previous reviews! This guy had great grooves, charisma, showmanship, comedy and feel. Highlights were a plenty, but the bond theme which was fingerpicked with the bass notes was a perfect pleaser for English audiences. Ultimately the comic undercurrent provided a wonderful atmosphere slowly leading us into a Vai show to remember."
-"Then it was time to let the audience in and watch Zack. He caught everyone off guard and ended the evening with himself wrapped around a Mike Stand and his cables. He got a rousing cheer for some superb musicianship and the humour shone through his playing."
-"What can I say? Zack, you rock you crazy f**ker!!"

Myspace.com Comments:

-"I love you guys soooooooooooo much wish I would hurry up and hit that lottery so I could pay my child support and spend everyday seeing you guys play but you know how that goes God knows what's best and apparently me winning the lottery isn't it LOL" (creepy)
